Pipe fittings for chemical and process plants

We supply pipe fittings for chemical plants, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and the process industry – from our own production and targeted sourcing, in all relevant and corrosion-resistant materials, with complete documentation.

Requirements in the chemical and process industry

In the chemical and process industry, piping components are continuously exposed to high mechanical, thermal and chemical loads. Accordingly, their design is subject to strict codes and standards that clearly define material selection, design and manufacturing.

International standards such as ASME B31.3 and EN 13480 form the basis for industrial piping systems, supplemented by national codes such as AD 2000 and the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. In H₂S-containing or corrosive environments, standards such as ISO 15156 (NACE MR0175) or NACE MR0103 are also applied to reliably prevent material failure.

For applications with increased requirements for cleanliness and process safety, such as in the pharmaceutical or food industry, additional guidelines such as EHEDG or ASME BPE are also taken into account.

Materials & designs

Material selection depends on the medium, temperature, pressure and applicable code:

Austenitic stainless steels: 1.4301 · 1.4307 · 1.4404 · 1.4435 · 1.4571 – standard materials for most process applications

Duplex & Super Duplex: 1.4462 (UNS S31803) · 1.4410 (UNS S32750) · 1.4501 (UNS S32760) – for chloride-containing and sour-service environments

6Mo & high-alloy steels: 1.4547 (UNS S31254) · 1.4529 (UNS N08926) – for aggressive chloride and acid environments

Nickel alloys: Alloy 625 (2.4856) · Alloy 825 (2.4858) · Alloy C-276 (2.4819) / Hastelloy C-276 – for extreme applications with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid

Creep-resistant steels: 16Mo3 · 13CrMo4-5 · P91 – for high-temperature process piping

Material selection is project-specific – with advice from our technical sales team on request.
