Requirements in refineries and offshore facilities<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

In the oil, gas and offshore industry, the highest requirements apply to materials, manufacturing and documentation. Piping components must comply with international codes and standards, which set different priorities depending on the application. <\/p>\n

For offshore applications, NORSOK M-001 and M-630 are particularly relevant, while in H\u2082S-containing environments standards such as ISO 15156 (NACE MR0175) or NACE MR0103 define material selection. In pipelines and refineries, standards such as API 5L and the ASME B31 series (B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8) are used, supplemented by DNV-ST-F101 for subsea systems. <\/p>\n
